Fingers Crossed didn't work
Well, my "incarceration" continues. The Dr. is worried about toxemia/preclampsia. I guess I'm showing some classic signs of it right now, and he is trying to slow it down. That's my best guess. I guess some of the symptoms are headaches (which I don't have), extreme swelling of the feet, hands and face, High Blood pressure, and fast weight gain. Yup - you guessed it, I have all but the headaches. So I'm out for the count until gunnar arrives. Dr. said he wants to make sure I make it another 7 weeks before he will not be so concerned. Lets hope that I can last that long.. UGH. OK, so I've had a lot of people ask what is this toxemia/preclampsi - well, basically the dr. said it's like my body is trying to reject the pregnancy - or a type of "allergy" to it. From what I've been reading, only a few people get it. UGH, and I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Good thing - I'm not on strict "bedrest", but was told to become more of a couch potato. Guess Days of our Lives will have a faithful follower for the next few months. Only problem is... this messes with my whole plan on spending the time with Gunnar after he was born, now I will only have the summer time... unless he comes early.
