So my girlfriend from college got married. At first it was going to be Dan and I taking the trip. Although we never have traveled extremely well together, it was going to be fast and furious. When I was talking to another friend, wondering if she got an invite, we had the bright idea.... Let's leave Dan at home so she could go to the wedding with me. At least she would know some of the people and I would know more than the bride, her parents, the maitron of Honor and her parents. :)
So... we finally leave about 5 pm on Friday. We stop in Blythe for dinner and I finish my low flying lesson. :) We get into Whittier to stay at Millie's house around 11. Of course then we have to stay up until prob. 2 gossiping and chatting about all the stuff that was going on. I was beat.
Millie's son, Alejandro, woke us up by saying "Goodmorning" several times at 7 Am. That got our day rolling. Juan and Millie made Churizo's (sp?) for breakfast and then we were out the door to go visit Kristi, Mike and Abby. We had only seen pics of Abby, and Katie had not ever med Mike, so that was another catch up story. I didn't get a pic of Mike, but here is Kristi with Abby...
We went to lunch with them all, and then had to RUN back to Millie's house to get dressed for the wedding. No Joke - we got ready in 20 min - but were still 10 min late to the wedding since Katie wasn't being a good navigator.
Here is Susana and Manny inside the church...
So we sit through the wedding and look around and realize that we know very few people... lol
Then we head over to the reception. It was at the Sky Links golf course. Very pretty place. I'm sure that they got some awesome pics. Inside the reception room, I couldn't seem to get any decent shots, except one - of all the Palmers. :)
The next morning, we headed back home. Was a very fast trip, but fun seeing everyone.
Oh yeah, what did Dan do? watch racing, and went and had a couple of drinks with a friend... not my idea of exciting, but we both had a great weekend, and it's nice to sleep in my own bed again. :)
